What's that? A new pattern?!

I wanted to create

a pattern that used a simple repeat to create subtle and understated texture; the result is what came to be the Sandpiper Beanie.

Sandpipers are tiny birds that poke and bobble around the beaches of Grand Manan. They are sandy-coloured and very discrete! From a distance you won't even know they're there. The zig-zags of the herringbone stitches remind me of the Sandpiper's tiny legs, and the subtle texture is a reminder that you can't always see the details unless you know where to look.

I am so excited for this modern- and simplistic-style beanie to release on March 11! It is currently out to testers and the feedback so far has been fantastic. If you're a crocheter, make sure to mark your calendar for the release of this truly East Coast design!
